Solana trading app fees compared: what you actually pay
How fees work on Solana trading apps like YAP, FOMO and Photon, and how to check the real cost of a trade.
- Buys cost 0.5% + $0.95 on YAP.
- Invited traders pay 10% less.
- Compare the cost of your typical trade, not just the %.

Why fees matter
If you trade small amounts often, fees decide whether you end the month up or down. A 1% fee on 20 trades a day adds up faster than most price moves.
How YAP charges
Buys cost 0.5% of the amount plus $0.95. Sells cost 1% of what you get back, with no minimum, so small or dead positions can always be sold.
If you joined through someone's invite, you pay 10% less on every trade.
How to compare apps
Look at three numbers: the percentage fee, any flat fee per trade, and the minimum trade size. Then work out the cost of your typical trade on each app. Pricing changes often, so check each app's current fee page before you decide.
Network costs
Every Solana app also pays network and priority fees. These are usually cents, but they rise when the network is busy.
